Remind Group for Practice updates

Updates to practices will be made through the Regency Riptides 2026 Remind group: Regency Riptides 2026 group. This is the same Remind group as last season so if you signed up last year you do not have to rejoin the group.

Practice etiquette

During swim practices, the coaches are focused on the swimmers in practice and the swimmers should be focused on the coaches. If a swimmer or parent needs to talk to a coach, it should be done outside of practice times. 

Please review some other guidelines with your swimmer(s).

• Only swimmers in the current practice should be part of the dry land circle or in the swim practice lanes.
• When practice is over for an age group, those swimmers should leave the practice area.
• Swimmers not in the current practice should not be sitting with the coaches or walking around with the coaches – the coaches are not babysitters
• Swimmers should not throw any items at coaches, at swimmers, or into any lanes being used for practice
• No one should shoot squirt guns at coaches or swimmers while they are in practice

Practices

Practices will be held Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week at the Cambridge pool at the normal times (weather permitting). Saturday will be a clinic focused on skills based on feedback from the Tuesday swim meet.

Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday

• Ages 6 & Under     5:00-5:45 PM
• Ages 7/8                5:45-6:30 PM
• Ages 9/10              6:30-7:30 PM
• Ages 11 & Up        7:30-8:30 PM

Saturday Clinic – skill focus TBD

• Ages 9 & Up          9:00-10:00 AM
• Ages 7/8               10:00-10:30 AM
• Ages 6 & Under    10:30-11:00 AM

Swim meet at Walden Creek – June 16, 2026

The second meet of the season is an away meet against the Walden Creek Wahoos (2207 Walden Creek Dr, Apex, NC 27523) on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 6 pm. More details about the meet will be sent in a separate communication.

Meet timeline

• 5:15 pm – swimmers on deck/check in
• 5:30 pm – warm-up begins
• 5:45 pm – meeting for volunteer officials (timers and judges)
• 6:00 pm – meet begins

• One Place Judge/Order of Finish Judge

Home swim meet against Life Time Cary – June 23, 2026

The first home meet of the season is against Life Time Cary the at the Cambridge pool on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 6 pm.

Meet sign up will be open from Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at 6 pm until Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 6 pm by accessing the following link: https://regencyriptides.swimtopia.com/swim_meets. No entries will be accepted after sign up closes. During sign up, let us know if your swimmer(s) will be attending the meet or not attending the meet. You also sign your swimmer(s) for what events they will participate in. Instructions on swimmer signups for meets can be found at: Meet Signup Instructions.
