Remind Group for Practice updates
Updates to practices will be made through the Regency Riptides 2026 Remind group: Regency Riptides 2026 group. This is the same Remind group as last season so if you signed up last year you do not have to rejoin the group.
Practices
There will be no practice on Monday, May 25, 2026 (Memorial Day).
On Tuesday, May 26, 2026 there are swim clinics offered by Raleigh Swimming Association (RSA) for swimmers 7 and older at the Cambridge pool. 6 and under swimmers will practice at normal time.
Practices will be held Wednesday and Thursday this week at the Cambridge pool at the normal times (weather permitting).
Please attend the practice for your age group unless you have agreement ahead of time from Brayden and me to attend a different practice, this includes the RSA clinics. Each practice group works on different skills and is staffed with the appropriate number of coaches based on the number of swimmers in that age group.

Volunteer Position
There is still a need for one more Stroke and Turn judge (home and away meets). There is an hour and a half long training class at Lochmere this Thursday evening for this position. Please contact me (Angie Urbanc – [email protected]) if you are willing to fill this role or want more information.
Time Trials – June 2, 2026
Time trials will be held at the Cambridge pool on June 3, 2026.
- Check in is 4:45 pm
- Warm ups begin at 5:00 pm
- Team picture is at 5:45 pm
- Meet start time is 6:00 pm.
This meet is only for Regency Riptides swimmers. It gives swimmers and volunteers the opportunity to become familiar with the swim meet format. It also allows us to check out the starter and timing systems before we host a meet with another team. The pace of time trials is slower than an actual meet so that volunteers can learn and become familiar with roles.
Pizza, bottled water, and a treat will be provided for registered swimmers. Families will have the option to order additional pizzas. More details will follow in a separate email.
Meet sign up will be open from Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 6:00 pm until Sunday, May 31, 2026 at 6:00 pm by accessing the following link: https://regencyriptides.swimtopia.com/swim_meets
No entries will be accepted after sign up closes. During sign up, let us know if your swimmer(s) will be attending the meet or not attending the meet. You also sign your swimmer(s) for what events they will participate in.Instruction on swimmer signups for time trials can be found at: Time Trials Meet Signup instructions.
You will also sign up for volunteer positions. Details about volunteer positions are located at Regency Riptides Volunteer Information and Regency Riptides Volunteer Positions
If you have any questions about how to sign your swimmer up for the meet or how to sign up for volunteer positions, please contact me (Angie Urbanc – [email protected]).
