Practices

Practices will be held Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday this week at the Cambridge pool (weather permitting).

Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday

• Ages 6 & Under   5:00-5:45 PM
• Ages 7/8               5:45-6:30 PM
• Ages 9/10             6:30-7:30 PM
• Ages 11 & Up       7:30-8:30 PM

Saturday

• Ages 9 & Up         9:00-10:00 AM
• Ages 7/8              10:00-10:30 AM
• Ages 6 & Under  10:30-11:00 AM

Practice etiquette

During swim practices, the coaches are focused on the swimmers in practice and the swimmers should be focused on the coaches.  If a swimmer or parent needs to talk to a coach, it should be done outside of practice times.

Please review some other guidelines with your swimmer(s).

• Only swimmers in the current practice should be part of the dry land circle
• When practice is over for an age group, those swimmers should leave the practice area
• Swimmers not in the current practice should not be sitting with the coaches or walking around with the coaches
• Swimmers should not throw any items at coaches, at swimmers, or into any lanes being used for practice
• No one should shoot squirt guns at coaches or swimmers while they are in practice

Riplets

The Riplets learn to swim program starts Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at the Danbury pool.  Details can be found at: https://regencyriptides.swimtopia.com/riplets.  More information about Riplets will be sent in a separate communication.

Dads’ pancake breakfast

Thank you to Elliot Howard and all of the dads who made the Dads’ pancake breakfast a fun event for swimmers and their families!

Swim caps

The swim caps have arrived!  I will hand out caps to people that ordered them during practice.  If you would like to buy a Regency Riptides swim cap for $20, please contact me (Angie Urbanc – [email protected]).

Regency Gives Back Program

Jackson Szymborski, a men 15-18 Regency Riptides swimmer, developed a program called Regency Gives Back.  The program collects school supplies for students and teachers at Penny Road Elementary School and Dillard Drive Magnet Middle School from now until August 16, 2025.

Home swim meet against Highcroft – June 17, 2025

The first home meet of the season is against Highcroft on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at the Cambridge pool.  Check in is 4:45 pm, warm ups begin at 5:00 pm, and meet start time is 6:00 pm.  More details about the meet were sent in a separate communication.

FIRED UP Pizza & BBQ food truck – June 18, 2025

FIRED UP Pizza & BBQ food truck will be popped up in the Cambridge Pool parking lot on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 from 5:30 - 8:00 pm (during swim practice).  A pre-order link will be provided when it is available.

Home swim meet against Brookstone – June 24, 2025

The second home meet of the season is against the Brookstone Barracudas on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at 6 pm at the Cambridge pool.

Meet sign up will be open from Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 5 pm until Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 5 pm by accessing the following link:https://regencyriptides.swimtopia.com/swim_meets.  No entries will be accepted after sign up closes.  During sign up, let us know if your swimmer(s) will be attending the meet or not attending the meet.  You also sign your swimmer(s) for what events they will participate in.  Instructions on swimmer signups for meets can be found at: 2025 Meet Sign up Instructions.

Cary City Swim Meet – July 12, 2025
