Practices

Practices will be held Tuesday – Thursday this week at the Cambridge pool (weather permitting)

• Ages 6 & Under 5:00-5:45 PM
• Ages 7/8 5:45-6:30 PM
• Ages 9/10 6:30-7:30 PM
• Ages 11 & Up 7:30-8:30 PM

There will be no practice on Monday, May 27, 2024 (Memorial day).

The first Saturday practice will be held this week at the Cambridge pool (weather permitting)

• Ages 9 & Up9:00-10:00 AM
• Ages 7/810:00-10:30 AM
• Ages 6 & Under10:30-11:00 AM

Time Trials – June 4, 2024

Time trials will be held at the Cambridge pool on June 4, 2024.  Check in is 4:45 pm, warm ups begin at 5:00 pm, and meet start time is 6:00 pm.  This meet will be only for Regency Riptides swimmers and lets them become familiar with the swim meet format.  It also allows us to check out the starter and timing systems before we host a meet with another team.  The pace of time trials is slower than an actual meet so that volunteers can learn and become familiar with roles.

Meet sign up will be open from Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 12 pm until Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 5:00 pm by accessing the following link: https://regencyriptides.swimtopia.com/swim_meets.  No entries will be accepted after sign up closes.  During sign up, you commit your swimmer(s) for what events they will participate in.  You will also sign up for volunteer positions.  Details about volunteer positions are located at https://regencyriptides.swimtopia.com/resources

I will be at practices this week to answer questions about volunteer positions and sign ups.

Fixed Volunteer Positions

There are openings for several fixed volunteer positions that require additional training.  Please contact me (Angie Urbanc – [email protected]) if you are willing to fill one of these roles or want more information.

• Stroke and Turn judge – home and away meets – need at least 1 more
• Starter – home meets – need at least 1 more
• Dolphin Timer system manager – home meets – need at least 1 more

2024 Registration Payments

If you have not already paid your 2024 registration fees, Zelle or check are accepted.  Please note swimmer name(s) in the memo section of the check or Zelle payment.

For payment by check, please may payable to Regency Riptides.  Checks can be given to Angie Urbanc at 102 Selly Manor Ct. or Wendy Monroe at 304 Southglen Dr.
