Good evening, Riptides!

This email provides details regarding our upcoming meet on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, versus the Preston Village Tiger Sharks at Preston Village.

TIMELINE

Athletes and volunteers must arrive by 5:00pm. Warmups begin promptly at 5:25 pm through 5:55pm. The Officiating/ Volunteer meeting will be @ 5:40 pm. The meet will start promptly at 6:00pm.

MEET LIMITATIONS

They have a 6 lane 25 Yard pool. They have started the process of installing permanent lighting, but unfortunately that work is behind schedule. As such, Preston Village will have additional temporary lighting in order to swim past dusk. Regardless, they recommend our swimmers wear clear goggles for the late events.

FOOD/CONCESSIONS

Preston Village will offer concessions where swimmers and families will be able to purchase pizza, hot dogs, Chick-fil-a sandwiches, snacks and beverages. Cash only.

LOCATION 

The Preston Village pool is located at 311 Preston Village Way, Cary, NC 27519 next to the pond. Major cross roads are Davis Drive or Morrisville Parkway.

Parking

They will have limited parking spaces, so they encourage car pooling. Once the parking lot is full you may park along the road (please park on the poolside only), and at the park shelter, just east of the pool, on the other side of the pond. Preston Village Way is a pass-through for emergency vehicles, so please make sure cars are not parked on both sides of the street.

LOCATION OF REGENCY RIPTIDES ON POOL DECK

Our team's home base for the evening is the area to the immediate right once you pass through the main gate. 

Visitors are encouraged to bring folding chairs.

PARENTS/COACHES RELAY

Please email me at [email protected] if you are interested in participating in the parent/coach’s relay. The relay will take place once breaststroke is completed or at the end of the meet.
