Hello all Regency Riptide families, 

The 9th Annual Regency Kids Tri will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023. All net proceeds from this event go straight to the Regency Riptides. This is another way to support our great swim team and enjoy a fun event. Ages for the kid's triathlon event range from 5 to 14 years old (on race day). Mike O'Leary will be the race director this year and will conduct registration between July 1st and August 31st. More information to follow on registration details.  Sign-ups will be available in July at home swim meets and some evening practices. 

URGENT ... the Kids Tri is looking for some key volunteer leaders. These are key roles that will work closely with Mike in preparation for the Tri and to pull-off a great event on race day. These volunteer roles need to be filled prior to July 1st. Please review the below list and contact Mike O'Leary ([email protected]) if you are interested.

Volunteer Roles

1) Swim / pool lead (coordinate the kid pushers, start timers, recorders, kid catchers, lane setups and lifeguards)

2) Sponsor recruitment lead and sponsor area setup on race day (Emily Nail is already helping here...thanks! However, we are looking for at least 1 more sponsor recruitment volunteer)
3) Finish line timing and recording lead (coordinate the 3 timers at the finish line, separate race recorders and overall race results determination) 4) Transition area & chute monitoring (a new role this year and much needed!)
5) On the course water stations, directions and safety monitors
6) T-shirt design, ordering, and distribution (Shannon Szymborski has already volunteered...thanks!)
