Good evening, Riptides!

This email provides details regarding our upcoming meet on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, versus the Woodcreek Whitecaps at Woodcreek. 

TIMELINE

Athletes and volunteers must arrive by 5:00pm. Warmups begin promptly at 5:30 pm through 5:55pm. The Officiating/ Volunteer meeting will be @ 5:45pm. The meet will start promptly at 6:00pm.

MEET LIMITATIONS

Per the request of the Woodcreek Whitecaps, in order to keep the meet moving and to finish before 10 pm, the following limitations with regards to the number of events that each swimmer can participate in are as follows:

6 and under swimmers - Limited to two individual events

7 and up swimmers - Limited to 3 individual events with up to two relays

Individual events include main events and exhibition events. 

FOR EXAMPLE: If you have a 10 year old swimmer that wants to swim in all 4 events as an exhibition swimmer, we’re asking that you limit them to only 3 events. The same would go if someone swims in 3 main events and wants to swim as an exhibition swimmer for the 4th event. We ask that they only swim 3 events.

All orders may be picked up at the lanai between 5:15 pm and 5:45 pm.  There will be no other dinner options available at this meet.

Snacks, candy, water, Gatorade and soda will be available for purchase at the lifeguard hut—CASH only.

They will also have Pelican Sonwballs in front of the clubhouse.

LOCATION (PLEASE SEE WOODCREEK FACILITY DIAGRAM LOCATED BELOW)

WoodCreek WhiteCaps' pool is located at 5200 Lockley Road Apex 27539. Their swim team website can be found at https://whitecaps.swimtopia.com/ Please use the parking lot that is on the right after the clubhouse. If this lot is full, use the right side of Lockley Road Facility. Please *do not* park in the court on Fullcrest Way across from the clubhouse. Be sure driveways and mailboxes are not blocked.

LOCATION OF REGENCY RIPTIDES ON POOL DECK

Our team can set up on the LEFT side of the pool deck when you enter. There are a few tables and chairs already there, but visitors are encouraged to bring a folding chair. The best area to have our “bullpen” for swimmers is to the left of the starting area and along the fence. This way kid pushers can have the swimmers set up and ready right next to the clerk of course.

PARENTS/COACHES RELAY

Please email me at [email protected] if you are interested in participating in the parent/coach’s relay. The relay will take place once breaststroke is completed or at the end of the meet.
