Hello Riptides!

We are very excited about Time Trials coming up this Tuesday, June 6th and wanted to share a few details with you about that day.

ARRIVAL

Please make sure that your athlete arrives on deck by 4:15 pm. If possible, please make sure that your swimmer is wearing their team swimsuit. The TEAM PHOTOGRAPH will be taken on deck promptly at 4:30 pm.

When you arrive, go directly to the volunteer table (located on the right side of the deck as you enter) for athlete check-in and volunteer check-in. Athletes will receive their swimmer number at check-in. Volunteers will receive any materials they need for their volunteer positions (this may include heat sheets, announcer script, etc).

Please write swimmer number vertically on each arm between shoulder and elbow. Do not make any other marks on swimmer as it will ruin our pool chairs. Sharpies will be provided.

Team t-shirts and all other merchandise that was ordered through our team website, may also be picked up at check-in.

VOLUNTEERING

Our volunteer coordinator, Beth Ward, will be sending out an email today with volunteer assignments based upon your preferences. Beth has taken into consideration the needs of the team as well as your family dynamics when putting together our volunteer team. She has given thought to the ages of your children, your preferences for volunteer jobs, etc. However, please note, at the end of the day, we need all positions filled in order for us to have a swim meet and for your swimmer to have an awesome swim experience this summer!

PARKING

You will be able to use the spaces in the Cambridge Pool parking lot for Time Trials only. Please be aware of the marked off spaces to provide a place for our food trucks to park. If the parking lot is full, please park alongside the roads in the neighborhood.

MEET TIMING

Warm-ups will begin at 5 pm. Meet will begin at 6 pm.

We will have a meeting of swim meet officials (stroke and turn judge, timers, meet manager and TSA) at 5:45 at the deep end of the pool. The meet will begin promptly at 6:00 pm. Clerk of course, stroke and turn, kid pushers, starter, announcer, dolphin manager, coaches and meet director will have heat sheets printed for the meet. All of these documents may be picked up at volunteer check in. Everyone may use the Swimtopia app to follow the progress of the meet.

ATHLETES 11 AND UP - VERY IMPORTANT

Please note: If you have a swimmer that is 11 years old and up, your swimmer will be required to report to the clerk of course when it is their turn to line-up to swim. There will be no kid pushers for ages 11 and up. This will require you and your swimmer to be paying attention to the meet as it progresses and to know when it is time to go. We will not be able to make accomodations to allow them to swim if they miss their event. Please use the following resources to track the meet:

FOOD VENDORS/CONCESSIONS

AND ALSO WITH CUE will be onsite at 5 pm with your athlete's meals provided by the swim team. There will be a table set up next to the food truck where athletes, who completed the Athlete Meal ORDER FORM, will be able to pick up their meal among with a drink. All other family members will be able to order directly from the truck accepting cash or credit. AND ALSO WITH CUE will be onsite from 5 pm to 7 pm.

ALSIE's ICE CREAM TRUCK will be onsite from 5 pm to 7:30 pm for you to purchase a treat! Cash and credit accepted.

Concessions will be available for purchase on deck. VENMO only.

MERCHANDISE

Team merchandise will be available for purchase directly next to concessions. VENMO only.
