Hello Riptides!

First of all, thank you to all of the volunteers for making our Weldon Ridge home meet a success! As with every meet, situations arise where
there is a need to make some changes in order to have our meets run
more smoothly and be enjoyable for everyone!! As such, we have
decided to implement an impending weather policy. This will allow
parents, volunteers and our swimmers to know how we will proceed as a
team at home in the event of POSSIBLE WEATHER ISSUES.

In the event of a possible weather issue, TSA Reps and the chairperson
from each team may decide to pause non-main event heats and continue
with only MAIN event heats. If we decide to do this, we will resume
non-main event heats after all MAIN event heats have been completed,
weather permitting. We will resume the non-main heats where they were
paused and continue until the meet is over or the weather event forces
a cancellation.

If your swimmer decides to leave the meet after the non-main event
heats are paused, they will be scratched from subsequent events as
they take place throughout the evening.

We will follow the heat sheets for all non-main events in the order
that they originally occur. There will be no substitutions or
additions to non-main event heats in this scenario. For example, if a
non-main heat only has two swimmers, we will proceed with only those
two swimmers. This will eliminate confusion for our clerk of course,
our timing manager, and timers.

Note that all MAIN events must be completed through breaststroke,
before a weather event occurs, or the meet has to resume on the
following day. We are trying to avoid having a meet take place over
the course of two days as it is very difficult to do.

If a weather event does occur, we will proceed per TSA guidelines.
