Regency Riptides Swim Team News

Hi neighbors! My name is Laura Haltom and I am the Regency Riptides Swim Chair for the 2021 swim season. I wanted to inform you that we will have a swim team season this year!!

Our mission of the Regency Riptides Swim Team is to foster a fun, instructional swimming environment for neighborhood children up to the age of 18 and of all skill levels. We aim to provide an opportunity for our swimmers to gain confidence in the water, learn to compete and set personal goals, while instilling good sportsmanship and a love for the sport. We believe that having a Regency swim team cultivates a sense of community and allows families to participate in a group activity that benefits our children and our neighborhood.

Registration
will go live on April 24th @ 12pm and go through May 1st @ 5pm. Registration will be done through our Swimtopia site and registration is tied to volunteer sign ups--

Swim Meets:
(Virtual swim meets and In-person swim meets are still being discussed) Our home meets are scheduled for June 15th, June 29th, July 6th and July 20th and the Cambridge Pool will be closed to the public on those days from 4pm-9pm.

: The Regency Riptides swim Team is looking for donations and sponsors... we are doing this to enable the team to acquire all the necessary tools it needs to continue to prosper and grow. Our
Riplets program
is designed as a learn-to-swim program for preschool age children 3-7 years old. Some age exceptions apply.
Water experience is not necessary. Participants will be placed into groups based on their water experience and ability, not age. Swimmer evaluations and assignments will be given to each participant by the Riplets Head Coach prior to the start of instruction. Instructor to child ratio is 1:3.

Riplets registration will take place during the same time as swim team registration. After entering your information, the next page will ask for your child to be on the swim team or riplets, choose riplets.
